L&B Whiskycafé permanently closed

Dear whisky lover,

L&B whiskycafé opened in 1971 with around 75 types of whisky behind the bar - a solid foundation.
In 1984 I joined the bar team. The love for whisky was quickly born, and since 2003 I have had the honour of continuing the café myself.

After almost 41 years full of whisky and beautiful stories, the time has now come to close my whisky café for good. Not entirely out of free will - renovation works, the years and ultimately my health have had their say.
On 4 August 2023 I was forced to close the pub due to the renovation works, and reopening it is unfortunately no longer an option for me.

What once started as an exciting adventure, grew into a permanent value - for many a familiar address to relax, taste, laugh or just be. From the first glasses to the last rounds, I have enjoyed every moment.

I want to thank you all for the great atmosphere, the loyal visits, the special conversations at the bar and the endless love for good whisky (and yes, sometimes just for beer, wine or a soft drink).
There will be no big farewell party; I already celebrated that extensively on August 4th during the 'temporary' closure.
